Vodafone Router Login
192.168.1.1
Vodafone broadband uses 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway IP address across its European markets. This guide covers login steps, default passwords, and configuration for the Vodafone Station in Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and other EU countries.
How to Login to Your Vodafone Station
Vodafone Group Plc operates broadband services in multiple European countries including Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and Greece. To access your Vodafone Station admin panel, connect to the Vodafone network through Wi-Fi or a LAN cable. Open a browser and type the IP address 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. You can also type vodafone.station as an alternative URL.
The login page will appear with the Vodafone branding for your country. Enter admin as both the username and password. On newer models, the admin password is printed on the router’s base label rather than using the generic default. Check the sticker if admin does not work.
If the login page does not load, confirm you are on the Vodafone network and not mobile data. Try typing http://192.168.1.1 with the full prefix. Connect via a LAN cable to one of the router’s LAN ports for a more reliable connection to the admin panel.
Vodafone Station Models and Default Settings
Vodafone ships different router hardware across its European markets. The devices are manufactured by Huawei, Sercomm, Arris, and Sagemcom depending on the country and rollout period. All run Vodafone custom firmware with the same general admin interface.
| Router Model | Country | Default IP | Manufacturer | Wi-Fi Standard |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vodafone Station Revolution | Italy | 192.168.1.1 | Huawei | Wi-Fi 5 |
| Vodafone Wi-Fi 6 Station | Italy | 192.168.1.1 | Sercomm | Wi-Fi 6 |
| Vodafone Station (CGA4233) | Germany | 192.168.1.1 | Arris | Wi-Fi 5 |
| Vodafone Station (F@st 5670) | Germany | 192.168.1.1 | Sagemcom | Wi-Fi 6 |
| Vodafone Home Gateway | Spain | 192.168.1.1 | Sercomm | Wi-Fi 5/6 |
| Vodafone Smart Router | Portugal | 192.168.1.1 | Huawei | Wi-Fi 5 |
In Germany, Vodafone acquired Kabel Deutschland and Unitymedia, so cable customers may have different hardware than DSL customers. The default IP address is the same regardless of model or country.
Changing Your Vodafone Wi-Fi Password and Network Name
Vodafone broadband subscribers can change Wi-Fi settings from the Vodafone Station admin panel. Log in at 192.168.1.1 using the admin credentials for your model.
Click Wi-Fi in the main menu. You will see your 2.4GHz and 5GHz network settings. Some models display them on separate tabs, others show both on one page.
Change the Network Name (SSID) to your preferred name. Update the Password or WPA Key field. Use at least 12 characters with letters, numbers, and symbols.
Click Apply or Save. All devices will disconnect from the network. Reconnect each device with the new password. For a walkthrough that applies to multiple router brands, see the Wi-Fi password change guide.
Using Your Own Router with Vodafone Broadband
Vodafone broadband supports third-party routers in all EU markets. EU Directive 2015/2120 guarantees router freedom, meaning your ISP cannot force you to use their equipment. The setup varies by country.
Italy (FTTH/FTTC): Vodafone Italy uses PPPoE on most fibre connections. You need the PPPoE credentials from your Vodafone account. If you have VoIP (Vodafone phone), you also need SIP server details to configure voice on your own router or a separate ATA device.
Germany (Cable/DSL): Cable customers on the former Kabel Deutschland/Unitymedia network need a DOCSIS-compatible modem. DSL customers connect their router to the DSL modem via the WAN port and configure PPPoE.
Spain and Portugal: Similar to Italy. PPPoE credentials and VLAN configuration vary by region.
In all cases, disconnect the Vodafone Station and connect your own router’s WAN port to the fibre ONT or DSL modem. Configure WAN with the credentials from Vodafone. Popular choices include the Fritz!Box 7590 and Asus RT-AX86U.
Troubleshooting Vodafone Station Issues
Here are the most common Vodafone router problems and how to fix them.
-
Login page does not load. Make sure your device is connected to the Vodafone network, not mobile data. Try a LAN cable into one of the router’s LAN ports. Type http://192.168.1.1 or http://vodafone.station to prevent browser search redirects. If the default IP was changed, reset the router to restore factory settings. Some home networks use 192.168.0.1 instead if another router is handling DHCP.
-
Password rejected. Try admin/admin first. If that fails, check the label on the bottom of the Vodafone Station for a printed password. Some country-specific models use vodafone as the default password. A factory reset restores the original credentials.
-
Connected but no internet (red internet light). The Vodafone Station cannot reach the broadband service. For FTTH, check that the fibre ONT has a solid green PON light. For DSL, verify the phone cable is plugged into the correct DSL port. Wait 5 minutes after power on. If the red light persists, check Vodafone service status for your area or call Vodafone support.
-
Slow Wi-Fi speeds. Test wired first to isolate Wi-Fi problems. If wired speed matches your plan, reposition the Vodafone Station away from walls and metal objects. Use the 5GHz band for nearby devices. If wired speed is also low, restart both the ONT and the router.
-
VoIP phone not working. Check the phone cable to the Vodafone Station’s phone port. Restart the router. If the issue persists, the SIP registration may have failed. Check the telephony status at 192.168.1.1.
