True Online Router Login
192.168.1.1
True Online is Thailand's second-largest fibre broadband provider. Most True Online routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway. This guide covers login steps, default passwords, and configuration for True-supplied routers.
True Online is the fibre broadband division of True Corporation Pcl, a subsidiary of the CP Group. The provider operates as Thailand’s second-largest fixed broadband service and offers plans under the True GIGAFiber brand with speeds reaching 2 Gbps in select areas. Most routers supplied by the provider use 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway IP address, with Huawei, ZTE, and TP-Link hardware deployed across the subscriber base.
How to Login to Your True Online Router
To access the True Online router admin panel, connect to your network through Wi-Fi or a LAN cable. Open a browser and type the IP address 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. The login page will appear after a few seconds.
Enter admin as the username and admin as the password. On some routers, the password is true instead. Check the sticker on the bottom or back of your device if neither credential works.
The provider supplies the TrueID app for account management and speed tests. However, full router configuration including port forwarding and DHCP settings requires the web admin panel at 192.168.1.1.
Some plans use PPPoE for authentication while others use DHCP. If you have recently reset your device and cannot connect, you may need to re-enter PPPoE credentials. Contact True at 1242 to retrieve them.
True Online Router Models and Default Settings
The service has deployed several router models across Thailand. The model you receive depends on your plan tier, location, and installation date.
| Router Model | Default IP | Username | Password | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Huawei HG8145V5 | 192.168.1.1 | admin | admin | Most common model |
| Huawei HG8245H | 192.168.1.1 | admin | admin | Older installations |
| ZTE F670L | 192.168.1.1 | admin | admin | WiFi 6 capable |
| TP-Link Archer C64 | 192.168.1.1 | admin | admin or true | Select plans |
| ZTE F680 | 192.168.1.1 | admin | admin | GIGAFiber plans |
The Huawei HG8145V5 is the most widely deployed unit and functions as a combined ONT and router with dual-band Wi-Fi. ZTE F670L units with WiFi 6 have been appearing on higher-speed GIGAFiber subscriptions. TP-Link routers are less common but show up in certain promotional bundles.
Changing Your True Online Wi-Fi Password
Subscribers should change the default Wi-Fi password to prevent unauthorized access. The default credentials are widely known in Thailand. Here is the process for the Huawei HG8145V5, the most common router from the provider.
Log in at 192.168.1.1 with your admin credentials. Click on WLAN in the top menu. You will see your 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks listed under SSID Configuration.
Select the SSID you want to modify. Change the SSID Name from the default to something you recognize. In the WPA PreSharedKey field, type your new password. Use at least 12 characters. Avoid your phone number or unit number.
Click Apply. All connected devices will need to rejoin. Repeat for both frequency bands.

Using Your Own Router with True Online
The service allows customers to use third-party routers. The supplied ONT handles fibre authentication and outputs Ethernet.
Steps to connect your own router:
- Log in to the ONT at 192.168.1.1 and disable the built-in Wi-Fi to avoid interference.
- Connect your router’s WAN port to the ONT’s LAN port 1 using an Ethernet cable.
- Set your router’s WAN connection type to DHCP if your plan uses it, or PPPoE if credentials are required.
- If your router also defaults to the 192.168.1.x subnet, change its LAN IP address to a different range (such as 192.168.0.x) to avoid conflicts.
- Restart both devices.
For PPPoE plans, you will need the username and password provided during installation. Contact 1242 if you do not have them.
Popular routers among Thai broadband users include the TP-Link Archer AX73 and Asus RT-AX86U. Mesh systems work well for larger homes. Subscribers who also use AIS Fibre report similar ONT compatibility with third-party routers.
Troubleshooting True Online Router Issues
Here are the most common router problems and how to fix them.
-
Login page does not load. Verify you are on the correct network, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 with the prefix. Connect via a LAN cable to rule out Wi-Fi issues. Reset the router if the page still does not load.
-
Password rejected. Try true as the password. Check the router label for a unique password. Technicians sometimes set a custom password during installation. A factory reset (hold the reset button for 10 to 15 seconds) restores defaults.
-
Connected but no internet. Power cycle the ONT by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then restart the router. If you are on a PPPoE plan, verify that the credentials are entered correctly. Contact 1242 if the connection does not return.
-
Slow Wi-Fi speeds. Test over a wired connection first. The service delivers full speed over Ethernet. If Wi-Fi is slow, switch to the 5 GHz band for nearby devices. Adding your own router improves coverage in larger homes.
-
Red LOS light on the ONT. A red LOS light indicates fibre signal loss. Check the fibre cable from the wall outlet to the device for bends or damage. Do not bend fibre cables sharply. Contact 1242 if the cable appears intact.
