MyRepublic Indonesia is a fibre broadband provider that operates in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and other major Indonesian cities. The service is part of MyRepublic Ltd, a Singapore-headquartered telecommunications company that also runs fibre networks in Singapore and New Zealand. In the Indonesian market, the provider has positioned itself as a gamer-friendly ISP with low-latency routing and plans optimized for online gaming, competing with established providers like Biznet and larger incumbents for the urban subscriber base.

How to Login to Your MyRepublic Indonesia Router

To access the router admin panel, connect to your home network through Wi-Fi or a LAN cable plugged into one of the ONT’s LAN ports. Open a browser and type the IP address 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.

The login page will appear. Enter admin as both the username and password. On some Nokia ONT models, the password may be printed on the device label rather than using the generic default.

The provider offers an app for Android and iOS that handles speed testing and bill viewing. For network configuration such as port forwarding or DNS changes, the web admin panel at 192.168.1.1 is required.

If the login page does not load, verify you are on the home network and not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 with the full prefix.

Router Models and Default Settings

The provider deploys Nokia and Huawei ONT devices across its coverage areas. The model depends on the installation location and plan tier. Below are the 5 most common units.

The Nokia G-240W-F is the standard residential unit that combines ONT and Wi-Fi router functions with 4 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. The newer G-2425G-A adds WiFi 6 support for faster wireless throughput.

Changing Your Wi-Fi Password

Subscribers should change the default Wi-Fi credentials after installation. The steps below use the Nokia G-240W-F since it is the most widely deployed model.

Log in at 192.168.1.1 with your admin credentials. Click Network in the top menu, then select WLAN or Wireless. You will see entries for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.

Select the SSID you want to modify. Change the SSID Name to your preferred network name. In the WPA PreSharedKey or Passphrase field, type your new password. Use at least 12 characters with a combination of letters and numbers.

Click Apply. All connected devices will disconnect and must rejoin with the new password. Update both frequency bands so all devices can connect regardless of which band they use.

Using Your Own Router

The service uses DHCP for WAN authentication on residential plans. No PPPoE credentials or VLAN configuration is needed.

Plug your own router’s WAN port into the ONT’s LAN port 1 with an Ethernet cable. Set your router’s WAN connection type to DHCP (automatic IP). Restart both devices. Your router should receive an IP address from the ONT within 30 seconds.

For a cleaner setup, request the support team to set the ONT to bridge mode. In bridge mode, the ONT passes the public IP address directly to your router, eliminating double NAT. This is recommended for gaming since double NAT can interfere with NAT type detection in console games.

Many subscribers choose routers with QoS features to prioritize gaming traffic. Disable Wi-Fi on the ONT after setting up your own router to prevent interference.

Troubleshooting Router Issues

1. Login page does not load. Confirm you are on the home network, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 with the prefix. Try a LAN cable connection. If the page still fails to load, reset the router by holding the reset button for 15 seconds.

2. Admin password rejected. Try admin / admin as the default. On Huawei models, check the device label for a printed password. A factory reset restores default credentials. Contact the provider through the MyRepublic app if the problem continues after reset.

3. Connected but no internet. Power cycle the ONT by unplugging it for 30 seconds. Check that the fibre cable from the wall outlet is secure. The PON light should be solid green. A flashing or off PON light indicates a fibre line issue. Report through the MyRepublic app.

4. High latency in games. Test latency with a wired LAN connection to isolate Wi-Fi issues. If wired ping to Singapore servers exceeds 30 ms consistently, the routing may have an issue. The provider’s gamer plans include optimized routing, so check that your account is on the correct plan tier. Switching DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 may reduce DNS resolution time.

5. Intermittent disconnections. Check the ONT for overheating. Ensure the device has ventilation and is not enclosed in a tight space. Update firmware through the admin panel under System or Maintenance. If disconnections occur at regular intervals, the fibre splice point outside may need repair. Report the pattern to the provider’s support team with timestamps.
