How to Login to Your Globe Telecom Router

Globe Telecom, operated by Globe Telecom Inc., is one of the two largest broadband providers in the Philippines alongside PLDT. To log in to your Globe router, connect to the Globe At Home network through Wi-Fi or a LAN cable. Open a browser and type the IP address 192.168.254.254 in the address bar.

This IP address is unusual. Most ISPs default to 192.168.1.1, but Globe intentionally uses 192.168.254.254 to reduce conflicts with third-party routers that customers connect behind the Globe device.

The login page will appear. Enter admin as the username. The password is printed on the router sticker. On older Globe modems, try user as the username with the label password.

Globe provides the GlobeAtHome app for network management. The app lets you change the Wi-Fi password and run speed tests without using the web admin panel.

Globe Router Models and Default Settings

Globe Telecom supplies a small range of router models across its fiber and DSL plans. Here are the common units:

The Huawei HG8145V5 is the most widely deployed unit on Globe At Home fiber plans, functioning as both ONT and router. The ZTE F670L is a newer addition with WiFi 6 support. Globe Telecom’s parent company, Ayala Corporation, backs the ongoing network expansion.

Changing Your Globe Wi-Fi Password

Globe At Home subscribers should change the default Wi-Fi password since the label password is visible to anyone near the router. Here is the process for the Huawei HG8145V5.

Log in at 192.168.254.254. Go to WLAN then SSID Configuration. You will see 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks listed.

Select the network to change. Update the SSID Name from the default (usually GLOBE followed by characters) to your preference. In the WPA PreSharedKey field, enter your new password.

Choose at least 12 characters. Avoid your phone number, birthday, or house address.

Click Apply. All connected devices will disconnect and need to rejoin. Update both frequency bands if you want the same password on each.

Using Your Own Router with Globe At Home

Globe At Home lets you use your own router behind the supplied ONT/router combo. Since the Globe device handles fiber authentication, your personal router just needs to manage your local network.

Simple method (double NAT): Keep the Globe router running. Plug your own router’s WAN port into a Globe router LAN port. Set WAN to DHCP. This creates a double NAT, which works for browsing and streaming but can affect gaming and port forwarding.

Bridge mode (advanced): Log in at 192.168.254.254. Find WAN Configuration. Change the mode from Route to Bridge. Connect your router’s WAN port to the Globe device’s LAN port 1.

Globe sometimes restricts admin access to bridge mode settings. If the option is not visible, you may need elevated credentials for your specific model.

Troubleshooting Globe Router Issues

Here are the most common Globe router problems and how to fix them.

1. Login page does not load. Make sure you type 192.168.254.254, not 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254. Connect via LAN cable for reliability. Type http://192.168.254.254 with the prefix if the browser searches instead of navigating.

2. Password rejected. Try admin/admin or user/user as fallbacks. The GlobeAtHome app sometimes lets you reset credentials. Otherwise, reset the router by holding the reset button for 15 seconds.

3. Connected but no internet. Power cycle the router by unplugging it for 30 seconds. Check for a solid green light on the device. If the internet does not return, call Globe at 211 or report through the GlobeAtHome app.

4. Slow Wi-Fi speeds. Run a speed test using a wired LAN connection. If wired speed matches your plan, Wi-Fi is the bottleneck. Globe’s Huawei and ZTE routers have limited range through concrete walls. Place the router centrally. For multi-room coverage, add a mesh system.

5. Red LOS light on device. The red LOS indicator means fiber signal loss. Check the fiber cable from the wall box to the ONT for kinks or disconnections. Do not bend fiber cables sharply. If the cable is intact, report through the GlobeAtHome app or call Globe at 211.

6. GlobeAtHome app cannot find router. Make sure your phone is on the Globe Wi-Fi network, not mobile data. The app communicates over the local network. Restart the app if it stalls during discovery.
