CBN Fiber Router Login
192.168.1.1
CBN Fiber is a broadband provider in Jakarta and surrounding areas, popular in apartment complexes. Most CBN routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway with admin as the default credentials. This guide covers login steps and configuration for CBN-supplied ONT routers.
CBN Fiber is a broadband service operated by PT Cyberindo Aditama, an Indonesian internet provider that has served the market since 1998. The provider focuses on fibre-to-the-home connections in Jakarta and surrounding cities, with a strong presence in apartment buildings and condominiums. The company has built direct fibre connections into over 200 residential buildings across the greater Jakarta area, competing with larger providers like IndiHome for multi-dwelling unit subscribers.
How to Login to Your CBN Fiber Router
To access the CBN router admin panel, connect to your home network through Wi-Fi or a LAN cable plugged into one of the ONT’s LAN ports. Open a browser and type the IP address 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
The login page will appear. Enter admin as both the username and password. If those credentials do not work, check the sticker on the bottom or back of your ONT device. Some newer installations use a unique password per device.
If the login page does not load, confirm you are on the home network and not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 with the full prefix. A LAN cable connection is more reliable than Wi-Fi for admin access, especially in apartments where Wi-Fi congestion from neighboring networks is common.
Router Models and Default Settings
The provider deploys ZTE and Huawei ONT devices. The model you receive depends on your building and installation date. Below are the 5 most common units across the network.
| Router Model | Default IP | Username | Password | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ZTE F670L | 192.168.1.1 | admin | admin | Most common current model |
| ZTE F609 | 192.168.1.1 | admin | admin | Older installations |
| Huawei HG8245H5 | 192.168.1.1 | admin | admin | Selected buildings |
| Huawei EG8145V5 | 192.168.1.1 | admin | admin | Newer high-rise deployments |
| ZTE F660 | 192.168.1.1 | admin | admin | Legacy model, still active |
The ZTE F670L is the standard ONT for most current installations. It provides dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) with 4 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports.
Changing Your Wi-Fi Password
Subscribers should change the default Wi-Fi password after the technician completes installation. The steps below use the ZTE F670L as the reference model.
Log in at 192.168.1.1 with your credentials. Click Network in the top menu, then select WLAN or Wireless. You will see configuration entries for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
Select the SSID you want to modify. Change the SSID Name from the default to your preferred network name. Go to the Security tab. In the WPA Passphrase or PreSharedKey field, type your new password. Use at least 12 characters with letters and numbers.
Click Apply. All connected devices will disconnect and need to rejoin with the updated credentials. Change passwords on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for consistency.
Our Wi-Fi password change guide covers the process for additional router models.
Using Your Own Router
The service uses DHCP on residential plans, so connecting your own router does not require PPPoE credentials or special configuration.
Plug your own router’s WAN port into the ONT’s LAN port 1 using an Ethernet cable. Set your router’s WAN connection type to DHCP (automatic IP). Restart both devices. Your router should receive an IP address within 30 seconds.
For apartment residents, using your own router is often necessary. The standard ONT’s Wi-Fi signal struggles with concrete walls and dense interference in high-rise buildings. A dedicated wireless router or mesh system placed centrally in the unit delivers more consistent coverage.
To avoid double NAT, contact the provider and request bridge mode on the ONT. In bridge mode, your router receives the public IP address directly, which is better for VPN connections and remote access. Disable Wi-Fi on the ONT after connecting your own router to reduce channel congestion.
Troubleshooting Router Issues
-
Login page does not load. Verify you are on the home network, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 with the prefix. Try a LAN cable instead of Wi-Fi. In apartment buildings, Wi-Fi interference can prevent the admin page from loading. A factory reset of the router restores the default IP address.
-
Admin password rejected. Try admin for both username and password. Check the device label for unique credentials. If a previous tenant changed the password, hold the reset button for 15 seconds to restore factory defaults.
-
Connected but no internet. Power cycle the ONT by unplugging it for 30 seconds. Check that the fibre cable is firmly connected. The PON light should be solid green. If the light is off or red, the fibre line from the building distribution panel has a fault. Contact the provider to arrange a technician visit.
-
Slow speeds in the evening. Test with a LAN cable first to rule out Wi-Fi issues. In apartment complexes, the 2.4 GHz band is heavily congested. Switch to 5 GHz for faster speeds at shorter range. If wired speeds are also slow during peak hours (7 PM to 11 PM), report to the provider.
-
Wi-Fi signal weak in parts of the apartment. The standard ONT covers 40 to 60 square meters effectively. For larger apartments, connect a separate Wi-Fi access point or mesh system to the ONT’s LAN ports. Position the device away from concrete structural columns, which block signal more than interior walls.
