3BB Router Login

192.168.1.1

Thailand Huawei, ZTE

3BB is a Thai broadband provider now under AIS following the Jasmine International acquisition. Most 3BB routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway. This guide covers login steps, default passwords, and configuration for 3BB-supplied routers.

3BB is a Thai broadband provider originally operated by Jasmine International Pcl. The brand ranked as Thailand’s third-largest fixed broadband service before its acquisition by Advanced Info Service (AIS). Existing 3BB subscribers continue to use their current hardware while the network gradually integrates into the AIS infrastructure. Most routers supplied by 3BB use 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway IP address, with Huawei and ZTE hardware across the subscriber base.

How to Login to Your 3BB Router

To access the 3BB router admin panel, connect to your network through Wi-Fi or a LAN cable. Open a browser and type the IP address 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. The login page will load within a few seconds.

Enter admin as the username and admin as the password. Some newer units have a unique password printed on the router label instead. Check the sticker on the bottom of your device if the default does not work.

The provider offered 3BB GigaFiber plans with speeds up to 1 Gbps. These plans continue to operate under the existing terms even after the AIS acquisition.

If the login page does not appear, confirm you are connected to the 3BB network and not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 with the prefix for best results.

3BB Router Models and Default Settings

The service deployed Huawei and ZTE ONT models across Thailand. The model depends on your plan tier and installation date.

The Huawei HG8145V5 is the most common unit and functions as a combined ONT and router with dual-band Wi-Fi. The ZTE F670L appeared on newer GigaFiber subscriptions with WiFi 6 support. Both models are shared with other Thai ISPs including AIS.

Changing Your 3BB Wi-Fi Password

Subscribers should change the default Wi-Fi password promptly after installation. The default credentials are widely known. Here is the process for the Huawei HG8145V5.

Log in at 192.168.1.1 with your admin credentials. Click on WLAN in the top menu. The 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks will appear under SSID Configuration.

Select the SSID to modify. Change the SSID Name from the default to a name you prefer. In the WPA PreSharedKey field, type your new password. Use at least 12 characters combining letters, numbers, and symbols.

Click Apply. All connected devices will disconnect and need to rejoin with the new credentials. Repeat the process for both frequency bands.

Using Your Own Router with 3BB

The service supports third-party routers. The supplied ONT handles fibre authentication and provides Ethernet output.

Steps to connect your own router:

  1. Log in to the ONT at 192.168.1.1 and disable the built-in Wi-Fi to reduce interference.
  2. Connect your router’s WAN port to the ONT’s LAN port 1 with an Ethernet cable.
  3. Set your router’s WAN connection type to DHCP. Some plans may require PPPoE with credentials from 3BB.
  4. If your router also uses the 192.168.1.x subnet, change its LAN IP address to a different range (such as 192.168.0.x) to prevent conflicts.
  5. Restart both devices and verify connectivity.

No VLAN tagging is required on standard residential plans. The ONT authenticates the fibre connection automatically.

Popular router choices among Thai broadband users include the TP-Link Archer AX73 and Asus RT-AX86U. A mesh system works well for multi-story homes common in Thailand.

Troubleshooting 3BB Router Issues

Here are the most common router problems and how to fix them.

  1. Login page does not load. Make sure you are connected to the correct network. Type http://192.168.1.1 with the prefix. Use a LAN cable instead of Wi-Fi for a reliable connection. Reset the router if the page still does not appear.

  2. Password rejected. Check the router label for a printed password. Technicians sometimes change the default during installation. A factory reset (hold the reset button for 10 to 15 seconds) restores the original credentials.

  3. Connected but no internet. Power cycle the ONT by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then restart the router. If you have PPPoE credentials, verify they are entered correctly in the WAN settings. Contact the support line at 1530 if the issue persists.

  4. Slow Wi-Fi speeds. Test with a wired connection first. The service delivers full speeds over Ethernet. If Wi-Fi is the bottleneck, use the 5 GHz band for devices near the router. Adding a third-party router or mesh system improves coverage.

  5. Red LOS light on the ONT. A red LOS light means fibre signal loss. Check the fibre cable from the wall outlet to the device. Avoid sharp bends in fibre cables. Contact 1530 if the cable looks undamaged.
