10.5.50.1 Router Admin Login

10.5.50.1 is the default gateway for Ardcom Piso WiFi controller boards in the Philippines. Piso WiFi is a coin-operated hotspot system where users insert coins (piso = Philippine peso) for timed internet access. Ardcom uses 10.5.50.1 instead of the more common 10.0.0.1 used by LPB and Ado systems. If your browser opened to this address after connecting to a Piso WiFi hotspot, you are on an Ardcom machine.

How to Login to 10.5.50.1

Connect your phone or laptop to the Piso WiFi hotspot. The SSID varies by operator but often includes “PISO” or the business name.

Open any browser and type 10.5.50.1 in the address bar. The Ardcom captive portal will load, showing your connection status, remaining time, and options to insert a coin or enter a voucher code.

If the page does not load, turn off mobile data on your phone. Mobile data prevents the browser from reaching the local gateway. Try http://10.5.50.1 with the http prefix.

The user portal does not require credentials. Users pay with coins or voucher codes. The admin panel is separate and requires a login.

If admin/admin does not work, the operator changed the password. A factory reset restores defaults. Hold the reset button on the board for 10 to 15 seconds while powered on.

Piso WiFi Pause Time Feature

The pause feature lets users freeze their session timer and resume later. This is useful when you need to leave the hotspot area temporarily.

Open the portal page at 10.5.50.1 in your browser. Look for a “Pause” or “Pause Time” button. Click it. The timer stops and your remaining minutes are saved. When you return, reconnect to the same hotspot, open 10.5.50.1, and click “Resume.”

Not all Ardcom firmware versions support pause. Older boards may lack the button entirely. Some operators disable it to encourage continuous usage. This is controlled through the admin panel.

Admin Panel for Operators

Access the admin dashboard at 10.5.50.1/admin or 10.5.50.1:8080 depending on firmware version. The panel controls:

• Pricing. Set the rate per peso. Common rates are 1 peso for 5 to 15 minutes.
• Bandwidth limits. Cap speeds per user to prevent one customer from consuming all bandwidth.
• Session timers. Set maximum session lengths and idle timeout durations.
• Connected devices. View phones and laptops with their MAC addresses and remaining time.
• Sales reports. Track daily and weekly coin collections and voucher redemptions.

Operators should change the default password on both the admin panel and the hotspot SSID before deployment.

Troubleshooting

1. 10.5.50.1 does not load. Confirm you are connected to the Ardcom Piso WiFi hotspot, not a different network. Turn off mobile data. Try http://10.5.50.1 with the http prefix. If the machine is powered off or the board is malfunctioning, the page will not load regardless.

2. Admin login rejected. The operator changed the default credentials. Hold the reset button on the Ardcom controller board for 10 to 15 seconds to restore factory settings. This also resets all pricing and configuration.

3. Pause button missing. The firmware version may not support pause, or the operator disabled the feature. Update the Ardcom firmware if a newer version is available from the supplier. Contact the board vendor for firmware files.

4. Coins inserted but no internet. The upstream internet connection may be down. As an operator, log in to the admin panel and check WAN status. As a user, ask the store owner to check the connection. The Piso WiFi machine only provides local hotspot access and depends on a separate internet line.

5. Slow speeds on Piso WiFi. Multiple users sharing a single connection causes slowdowns. Operators can adjust bandwidth limits per user in the admin panel. Upgrading the upstream internet plan from the ISP improves speeds for all users. Resetting the router on the upstream connection can also help if the ISP modem has been running for a long time without a restart.
